Choqa was born in 2015 out of our shared love for the good things in life and our passion for being the best we can. Every chocolate we make is individual, special and delicious, and we are committed to building a business that has sustainability, and social and environmental responsibility at its heart. Our workshop is solar-powered when the sun shines and we are committed to the following guiding principles.
All our recipes use Callebaut Finest Belgian Chocolate. Through Callebaut’s Growing Great Chocolate programme with West African co-operatives, our chocolate supports cocoa farmers and sustainable cocoa cultivation. As we look to expand our range to include chocolate from other parts of the world, we are committed to always applying the same ethical and environmental standards.
Where possible, we try to source natural ingredients and avoid artificial colourings.
All the boxes and lids we use are widely recyclable and our cellophane wrappers, for example on Choqablocs, are biodegradable so you can put them in your compost or food waste bin.As a new business, we're learning as we go, and we’d love to share our chocolate adventure with you and welcome your feedback and suggestions.
